With the philosophy, Through Movement We Find Health, Nia addresses the whole person through music and movement integrated from nine traditional movement forms.
Depending on your goals, Nia is everything from a fun class experience to a philosophy, lifestyle and personal/professional study. While often practiced in a group-fitness format, the true depth of Nia lies in a richly layered bodymind education, which for many becomes a personal lifestyle and/or professional practice.

Leslie is passionate about learning and teaching how to feel and function with ease inside and outside of her Nia classes.
Ballet, gymnastics and biking shaped her younger years. Traveling, birthing, doula work and attending to four children consumed her 20`s and 30`s.Soul searching led her to Nia at 40.
At 50 she finds herself renewed, energized and loving life teaching and sharing Nia.
Leslie now feels more pleasure moving and dancing through her life with the many benefits her Nia practice provides her.

Nia 5 Stages workshops are based on the natural phases of human development; Embryonic, Creeping, Crawling, Standing, and Walking.
It is a powerful practice to realign and self-heal the body.
Practicing Nia 5 Stages creates opportunities for the body to move freely and fully, regardless of speed or range of motion. With optimal alignment of bones and joints, movement is sensed as easy, comfortable, and pleasurable.
